CADverter is a direct database converter between CATIA V5 and ICEM Surf. It enables the user to convert all forms of mechanical design geometry, and CATIA V5 assembly structure which will be put into a single file, it also converts attribute information, between these two systems.
CADverter is provided as a bi-directional translator between CATIA V5 and ICEM Surf.
It can be used Interactively or in a batch mode, from a standard G.U.I Interface.
CADverter reads and writes CATIA V5 and ICEM Surf data and converts all geometry. If CATIA V5 assembly data (product structure) is in the file, the assembly structure will be created as a single ICEM file plus all layer information.
The converter supports both I Part A and the new ICEM Surf database (Surf 4.4 onwards) data formats. When using Surf DB it provides a closely integrated environment between Surf and CATIA V5. The close integration automatically updates changes made in either the Surf or CATIA V5 model into the other format without user interaction.
The user can filter data to optimize the process. In addition CADverter will work with other Theorem products including Data Exchange Navigator (DXN) .
